DESCRIPTION:As part of FSU Global's Celebration of International Education
 \, FSU Research Development and the Office of Faculty Development and Adv
 ancement are hosting a panel talk on the Fulbright Program. This talk wil
 l feature three FSU faculty members who have won Fulbright Awards: Dr. Ta
 tjana Soldat-Jaffe from the Department of Modern Languages and Linguistic
 s\; Dr. Nora Underwood from the Department of Biological Science\; and Dr
 . Shuyuan Metcalfe from the School of Information. Dr. Soldat-Jaffe recei
 ved a Fulbright Scholar Award in 2023-24 which took her to Karl-Franzens-
 Universität (University of Graz) in Austria. Dr. Underwood received a Ful
 bright Scholar Award in 2024 which took her to Stockholms universitet (St
 ockholm University) and other institutions in Sweden. Dr. Metcalfe receiv
 ed a Fulbright Scholar Award in 2024 which took her to the Università di 
 Bologna (University of Bologna) in Italy\; more recently\, she received o
 n behalf of FSU a Scholar-in-Residence (S-I-R) award\, enabling FSU to se
 rve as a host institution in 2027 for a faculty member from the Universit
 à di Bologna\, Dr. Franco Callegati.\n\nThe Fulbright Program\, sponsored
  by the U.S. Department of State's Bureau of Educational and Cultural Aff
 airs\, was established in 1946 to increase intercultural knowledge and fo
 ster peaceful relations between the United States and other countries. Wi
 th more than 160 partnering nations around the world\, the U.S. governmen
 t offers scholarships to American citizens--including students\,\n\nhttp:
