SUMMARY:Micropolitan America Exhibition
LOCATION:Art and Architecture Building\, 1715 Volunteer Boulevard\, Knoxvi
 lle\, TN 37996
DESCRIPTION:Micropolitan America is an architectural research project and
exhibition that examines small towns within the vast networks of capitali
st urbanization in the American countryside. While essential to large urb
an centers\, these networks impose political\, economic\, and environment
al pressures on rural communities\, which in turn rely on them for their
existence. The exhibition explores this question through a collection of
drawings that document life in the small town and\, without imposing solu
tions\, reimagine the present\, projecting onto the future of the country
side. Micropolitan America seeks to spark cross–regional discourse\, lift
ing stereotypes and celebrating the small town as a cell of community act
 ion.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/d6fb735f-a135-4318-a44c-94ca3000f435
