SUMMARY:SP-3 : Shaders? Never Heard of Them and Turning My Face into a Mat
 h Problem
LOCATION:Sign in to download the location
DESCRIPTION:SP-3: Shaders? Never Heard of Them introduces shaders to stude
nts and goes over the basics of how computers take shaders from GPU instr
uctions to actual images on a screen. The event will cover what shaders a
re\, how the graphics pipeline works\, the roles of vertex and fragment s
haders\, and how to write and run a basic shader tool. In the hands-on ac
tivity\, attendees will represent their own face using geometry and equat
ions and have the computer render it. Attendees will learn how GPUs draw
images and how mathematical descriptions become visual output\, with skil
ls useful for game development\, visualization\, and even AI.\n\nSP-3: Tu
rning My Face into a Math Problem : This session is based on Algorithms\,
Graph Theory\, and Combinatorial Optimization\, particularly the Traveli
ng Salesperson Problem (TSP). I'll demonstrate how a photograph can be re
presented as a collection of points and how optimization algorithms can c
onnect these points using a single continuous path to create recognizable
artwork. It explores how mathematical problems and algorithmic technique
s can be applied to creative computing.\n---\nEvent Details: https://sund
