SUMMARY:What Will Your Students Remember? Designing Memorable Learning Exp
 eriences
LOCATION:313 Templeton
DESCRIPTION:Poster Presentation\n\nPresenters: Dr. Laura E. Mendoza\, Assi
stant Professor of Instruction\, Chicano Studies\, Languages\, and Lingui
stics\n\nWhat makes a learning experience memorable? This poster presenta
tion explores how small\, intentional changes can transform familiar clas
sroom activities into meaningful\, student-centered learning experiences.
Drawing on examples from language education\, healthcare\, first-year le
arning communities\, and interdisciplinary teaching\, it highlights pract
 ical ways to foster engagement\, belonging\, reflection\, collaboration\,
and authentic application of knowledge.\n\nThrough sample activities\, s
tudent artifacts\, and adaptable instructional ideas\, attendees will con
sider how these approaches could be applied within their own disciplinary
contexts. Rather than presenting a single activity to replicate\, the po
ster emphasizes practical strategies for rethinking existing classroom ex
periences. Attendees will be invited to identify one “tomorrow-ready” cha
nge they could make to an activity in their own course\, helping create l
earning experiences that extend beyond content delivery and remain meanin
 gful to students.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/e45c5512-da8b-40af-a800-
