SUMMARY:SEC Skills Academy Meetings
LOCATION:WALC 3138
DESCRIPTION:SEC Skills Academy\n\nThe Sustainable Energy Club of Purdue (S
EC) Skills Academy is a new learning initiative designed to help students
build practical technical skills\, explore new areas of engineering\, an
d learn directly from experienced SEC members and industry professionals.
\n\nThrough interactive workshops and lessons\, participants will have th
e opportunity to develop skills in areas such as CAD\, KiCAD\, MATLAB Sim
ulink\, manufacturing\, and more. Sessions will be led by some of SEC's m
ore experienced members\, as well as guest speakers and professionals who
can share valuable knowledge and real-world industry experience.\n\nA ke
y goal of the Skills Academy is to ensure that its workshops align closel
y with the activities\, lesson plans\, and timelines of SEC's various bra
nches—especially SEC Fundamentals. By coordinating workshop topics and sc
heduling with ongoing branch activities and projects\, participants can l
earn relevant skills at the same time they are most useful. This creates
a stronger connection between learning technical concepts and applying th
em directly to SEC projects and activities.\n\nThe Skills Academy is open
to everyone! Whether you are a current SEC member\, a Purdue student int
erested in learning something new\, or someone with little to no previous
experience\, you are welcome to join. Our goal is to create an accessibl
e and collaborative environment where students can learn\, ask questions\
, and gain hands-on skills that they can apply to classes\, projects\, SE
