DESCRIPTION:Introduction to Home Food Preservation: Canning 101\n\nCanning
  is a safe and effective method of preserving your garden's bounty when r
 esearch-based techniques are followed.\n\nThis introductory\, 2-hour clas
 s is designed for beginners and will cover the fundamentals of water bath
  and pressure cooker canning. Participants will learn about the essential
  equipment\, proper jar preparation\, current food safety recommendations
 \, processing procedures\, and best practices for preserving.\n\nParticip
 ants are encouraged to bring their pressure canner gauge for a compliment
 ary accuracy check during the program.\n\nRegistration costs $20. All att
 endees must register in advance. Registration closes 5 days prior to clas
 s date.\n\nAlso available for purchase is the book "So Easy to Preserve".
  The cost is $40.00.\n\nThe book is not neccessary for class participatio
 n\; it's just a little extra item we are offering to the community.\n\nPl
