SUMMARY:CEO Leadership Lab: So\, You Think You Want to be a CEO?
LOCATION:Hayden Hall 202\, 245 Beacon St\, Chestnut Hill\, MA 02467
DESCRIPTION:🗓️ 4:00 - 5:00PM on Mondays (11/2\, 11/09\, 11/16)\n\n📍Hayde
 n Hall (245 Beacon St)\, Room 202\, Chestnut Hill\, MA 02467\n\nThree-wee
k lab for aspiring chief executive officers (founders and non-founders)\n
\nLab Overview\n\nWhat if I told you that despite being the most prominen
t job in business\, no one can really agree on what it is that a Chief Ex
ecutive Officer does. McKinsey consultants wrote a book called CEO Excell
ence precisely because they found the absence of a clear definition “unse
ttling.” CEOs themselves offer widely inconsistent answers\, even as they
each do the job:\n\n“Strategy\, talent\, team.” - First-time CEO (New Yo
rk Stock Exchange-listed Fortune 50)\n“Culture stewardship\, external art
iculation of strategy\, and contested decisions where someone has to make
  the final call.” - Two-time CEO (~$20m revenue\, PE-backed)\n“Talent\, s
trategy\, M&A\, and the impact of generative AI on the business.” - First
 -time CEO (~$300m ARR\, PE-backed)\n“Building a moat through the network\
; fostering breakout growth\; and prioritizing customer sentiment.” - Fir
 st-time CEO (~$200m ARR\, PE-backed)\n\nSteve Tappin\, author of The Secr
ets of CEOs told CNN\, “Probably two thirds of CEOs are struggling. I don
't feel there's really a place where they can learn to be CEOs\, so I thi
nk most of them are making it up.”\n\nThis three-week lab\, taught by for
mer CEO and BC ‘09 alum Cory Munchbach\, is based on interviews with doze
ns of CEOs and research for an upcoming book written for aspiring and soo
 n-to-be first-time \n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/edfeb621-724e-4505-a04
