SUMMARY:Tough Topic Tuesday: Public Enemy #1 - When Does Accountability Go
  Too Far?
LOCATION:Barner-McDuffie House 204 (Delta Sigma Theta Large Meeting Room)\
 , 119 Euclid Ave.\, Syracuse\, NY 13244
DESCRIPTION:When does accountability become harassment\, retaliation or an
other form of harm? In an age of social media and public call-outs\, harm
ful behavior can quickly become a public conversation. This workshop expl
ores what accountability looks like in the real world\, on college campus
es and in popular media\, while examining what makes a consequence accoun
table rather than retaliatory.\n\nParticipants will explore different app
roaches to responding to bias and harmful behavior\, while also consideri
ng the impact of more harmful tactics such as doxxing\, threats and onlin
e harassment. Through guided dialogue and interactive scenarios\, partici
pants will examine what makes accountability effective and proportional\,
and how identity\, power and social status can influence who receives ac
countability and how it is experienced.\n\nhttp://next-to-u.app/events/ee
