DESCRIPTION:The Society of Competitive Programmers (SCP) will send 15 stud
ents across five teams to represent the University of South Florida at th
e 2026–2027 ICPC Southeast USA Regional Contest.\n\nSCP provides USF stud
ents with structured opportunities to strengthen their programming and pr
oblem-solving skills\, build confidence in technical work\, and prepare f
or programming competitions. Competitive programming develops skills in d
 ata structures and algorithms\, implementation\, debugging\, teamwork\, a
nd communication under time pressure. These are skills that are also high
ly relevant to technical interviews and careers in software engineering a
nd computing.\n\nThe International Collegiate Programming Contest (ICPC)
is a global collegiate programming competition in which teams of three wo
rk together to solve challenging algorithmic problems during a five-hour
contest. ICPC describes itself as the world's oldest\, largest\, and most
prestigious collegiate programming contest.\n\nParticipating in an ICPC
Regional gives students the opportunity to apply what they have learned i
n a high-level competitive environment\, learn from other strong programm
ers\, and gain experience solving unfamiliar problems under real contest
pressure. This experience directly reinforces the DSA\, problem-solving\,
and coding skills commonly evaluated in technical interviews\, while hel
ping students identify areas they can continue improving.\n\nICPC competi
