DESCRIPTION:Ballet BC transforms a theater full of strangers into a single
 \, collective audience response—a gasp\, a silence\, a moment of awe.\n\n
 This triple bill explores what it means to be human in relationship to on
 e another\, moving from the vulnerable to the virtuosic\, exploring deepl
 y personal stories and moments of quiet intimacy to the exhilaration of m
 asses of bodies moving together as one.\n\nThe evening opens with Obsidia
 n by choreographic collaborators Bobbi Jene Smith and Or Schraiber\, whos
 e work has been described as “wild and rebellious.” Artistic Director Med
 hi Walerski’s SWAY follows\, inspired by Emily Dickinson’s poem “Hope is 
 the thing with feathers” and set to an original score by Adrien Cronet\, 
 creating moments as fleeting and precarious as the hope described in the 
 poem. The evening concludes with Shahar Binyamini’s BOLERO X\, set to Rav
 el’s Boléro\, that builds with pulsating drive and excitement as the rank
 s of Ballet BC dancers multiply their forces\, turning the stage into a s
 weeping\, euphoric\, collective—and culminating in a finale so extraordin
 ary that a room full of strangers can’t help but respond together.\n\nhtt
