About
Our event is a Día de los Muertos celebration, is designed to bring together students and Latin organizations across campus to celebrate and learn about Latin culture and traditions. The event will feature a DJ playing Latin music, including salsa, bachata, cumbia, merengue, and reggaetón, as well as a taquero serving fresh tacos. Traditional Día de los Muertos elements such as an ofrenda, marigolds, papel picado, and cultural activities will highlight the history and significance of the holiday. As well as honoring and remember our loved ones who have passed away. We will honor our loved ones with a moment of silence before the event begins, as well as an ofrenda where people can put a picture of their loved ones. The purpose is to create an inclusive and engaging space where students can enjoy music, dancing, food, and cultural education while strengthening connections and collaboration among the Latin community.
