Terms of Use

By using NextToU (the website or the iPhone app) you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use NextToU.

What NextToU is

NextToU collects public campus event listings in one place. We aren’t the organizer of the events, and we can’t promise listings are complete or accurate — times and places can change, so check the original listing. Sponsored events are always labeled.

Your account

Keep your login details private and use NextToU for personal, non-commercial purposes. Don’t misuse the service (for example, by scraping it, trying to break its security, or interfering with other users). You can delete your account anytime from Account.

Plans and payments

• Plus ($1.99/month) and Premium ($4.99/month) are monthly subscriptions that renew automatically until you cancel.
• There is no free trial. Free Premium days are a gift: no card is needed, nothing renews, and nothing is charged when they run out.
• Bought on the website: billed by Stripe. Cancel anytime in Account → Manage billing; you keep the plan until the end of the period you paid for.
• Bought in the iPhone app: billed by Apple to your Apple ID. Payment is charged when you confirm. It renews unless you turn off auto-renew at least 24 hours before the end of the period; manage or cancel in iPhone Settings → your name → Subscriptions. Apple’s standard end-user license terms also apply to the app.
• Prices may change; we’ll tell you before a change affects your subscription.
• Refunds: cancelling stops the next payment and you keep the plan until the period you’ve already paid for ends. We don’t refund unused time, except where the law requires it — but if something went wrong (charged twice, charged after cancelling, the app didn’t work), email us and we’ll put it right. Purchases made in the iPhone app are refunded by Apple, not by us: ask at reportaproblem.apple.com.

Invites and free Premium days

• Every new account gets 7 days of Premium free once its email address is confirmed. Invite a friend and you get 7 more days when they start using NextToU.
• An invite counts only for a brand-new account that isn’t yours, up to 20 friends a year.
• Free days have no cash value, can’t be transferred or exchanged, and expire 12 months after you earn them. They don’t change or pause a paid subscription: if you already pay for Premium, the free days wait until that ends.
• We may hold, reject or take back rewards from fake or duplicate accounts, and we may change or end the program.

Content and liability

NextToU is provided “as is”. To the extent the law allows, we aren’t liable for events themselves, missed events, or indirect losses from using the service. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law.
