Abstract: I’ll discuss my recent paper on the geometric structure of Coulomb branches. In the first talk, I’ll focus on how we can understand the Coulomb branch using standard tools of algebraic geometry, especially transverse blowups, and the description of normal varieties in terms of Weil divisors. The second, I’ll focus on how we can apply these results to understand the set of symplectic leaves of a Coulomb branch better.
