About
GeoAI is rapidly reshaping how researchers and practitioners understand cities, communities and socio-spatial inequalities. Along with new analytical opportunities, GeoAI also raises concerns around bias, privacy, fairness and environmental costs.
This talk highlights emerging debates about GeoAI and ethics and offers a framework for integrating GeoAI in ways that are both innovative and socially responsible. This lecture by Yue Lin is part of Geography Awareness Week, sponsored by the Geography and the Environment Department and the Community Geography program.
Yue Lin is an assistant professor in the Department of Geography and Geographic Information Science at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
