This virtual [Zoom] session of the AI @ Work Series, explore the important question: Could I—and should I—use AI for this task? Participants will learn how to evaluate potential AI use cases, recognize when human judgment is essential, and consider privacy, accuracy, ethics, and responsible use before entering information into an AI tool. Join Dr. Sandeep Bodduluri and Kelly Powell, as they discuss practical considerations that can help UAB employees make thoughtful decisions about when and how to use AI at work.

Parts of this session will demonstrate Copilot for Microsoft 365, which is the licensed, paid version of Copilot and may not be available to all participants. Copilot Chat is available to UAB faculty and staff; however, UAB Medicine users may have different features, access, or availability based on their environment.

Available AI tools and features may vary across UAB environments. UAB Medicine users may have different features, access, or requirements and should follow guidance provided for their work area.

What You'll Learn By the end of this session, you will be able to: 1) Evaluate whether an AI tool is appropriate for a workplace task by considering privacy, accuracy, ethics, and the need for human judgment. 2) Apply UAB guidance to make responsible decisions about what information to share with AI tools and how to review AI-generated results.
