The oral doctoral examination of Xulin Chen, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Friday, November 20, at 2 p.m. in the Center for Science and Technology, room 3-212.

Chen’s advisor is Professor Garrett Katz. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Amit Sanyal and M Gursoy. Professor Zhenyu Gan will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Leveraging Symmetry and Uncertainty-Awareness for Reliable and Interpretable Continuous Control.”
