About
University Libraries will present Nature Matters, a fall event series exploring our connections to the natural world and the importance of protecting the places and resources that sustain us.
From the air we breathe and water we drink to food production, economic activity and climate regulation, nature plays an essential role in our daily lives. The series will offer opportunities to consider our relationship with nature, explore sustainable practices and learn about local conservation efforts.
Local Conservation: Piney Woods Conservation Group November 17 at 6:30 p.m. | Cook Library Room 206Z
The series will conclude with a look at conservation efforts in our own community, featuring the Piney Woods Conservation Group. The nonprofit organization works to conserve, promote and protect open spaces and environmentally or scenically significant areas throughout the Pinebelt.
