About

Join certified dance instructor Masha Kamyshkova to learn the fundamentals of American Smooth Tango in a welcoming, beginner-friendly environment. You will build confidence in your posture, develop musicality, and strengthen your partnering skills while learning essential figures.

This class is designed to prepare you for social dancing, helping you move with ease, improve body awareness, and express yourself on the dance floor. Friends and family unaffiliated with UT are also welcome to attend. No partner or prior experience is necessary, but advance registration is required.

Please wear dance shoes with suede soles if possible; socks are also acceptable. Avoid rubber soles to reduce the risk of injury.

With questions, contact Julie Crane at bewell@utk.edu.
