About

Think your opinion can stand up to scrutiny?

Join the Political Science Club for State Your Case: Unpopular Opinions Edition, an interactive presentation-style event where students take the floor to defend their most unpopular, controversial, or unconventional opinions. Each presenter will have a limited amount of time to make their case using facts, reasoning, humor, or personal experience in an effort to persuade the audience.

After each presentation, attendees will have the opportunity to ask questions, challenge the argument, and engage in respectful discussion before voting on whether the presenter changed their minds.

While topics do not need to be political science focused, ALL topics will be subject to prior approval.
