Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) and Engineers Without Borders (EWB) are collaborating to host Dr. Courtney Maxey-Jones, Assistant Professor of Medicine at Upstate University, anesthesiologist, and founder of the nonprofit GOMED. GOMED collects lightly used and discarded cardiac medical equipment that is still safe for use and redistributes them to resource-limited areas internationally to advance health equity and sustainability.
