Beyond the Courtroom: Staying Human in a Changing World

About

What does it take to build a successful, fulfilling career in a world where the only constant is change? In a world of artificial intelligence (AI), social media and digital connections, could your biggest competitive advantage be what you do in real life?

Orlando attorney and law firm owner C. Todd Smith shares lessons from more than 30 years of practicing law, building a business and navigating technological change, from the days before widespread internet use and smartphones to today's rapidly evolving world of AI.

Through personal stories and experiences, he'll explore how embracing change, building genuine relationships and engaging in community service have shaped his career and created unexpected opportunities. Students will discover why traditional, face-to-face networking may be more valuable than ever, and why, even as technology transforms our professions, the human connections we make will remain essential to professional success, personal happiness and a meaningful life.
