About
Faculty and students are welcome to join the Vanderbilt Freedom Initiative for a tour of Nashville Children's Alliance and The Metro Office of Family Safety. This walk-through of the facilities seeks to educate attendees on the work being done in Nashville and empower Vanderbilt faculty and students to stand up against injustice.
Nashville Children's Alliance is a nonprofit organization that provides services at no cost to children who have experienced sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, or exposure to violence. Through collaboration with child protection professionals, medical providers, mental health experts, and legal partners, we help ensure children receive the support, advocacy, and care they need from the moment abuse is reported through their healing journey.
Nashville’s Family Safety Center serves individuals who have experienced domestic violence, sexual assault, human trafficking or child abuse. The FSC is one of the largest Family Justice Centers in the country. The FSC increases the safety of victims of domestic and sexual violence, child and elder abuse, and human trafficking by creating a supportive environment for victims to receive free and confidential services from a variety of providers.
