Get Published Now…What, Like It’s Hard?
Join the Managing Editors of Sand Hills, Augusta University’s 53-year-old national literary magazine, in collaboration with the Center for Writing Excellence, as we discuss the ins and outs of publishing! In this 90-minute informative session, you will learn all about Sand Hills—what we look for in submissions, how editorial decisions are made, and how we design each issue. Here’s your chance to ask questions. What’s really going on in an editor’s head as they’re reading your work? What makes or breaks a piece? What are some of the biggest mistakes we always see? Learn how to tailor your writing to be more publishable. If you are an artist or writer looking to publish with Sand Hills, or if you are interested in joining an Augusta University institution, stop by the Butler Room on the second floor of the JSAC on November 9th from 1-2:30 pm! We hope to see you there!
