About
As local journalism declines, media ownership consolidates, and Americans increasingly turn to social media and AI tools for political information, the American information landscape is undergoing a profound transformation. What do these changes mean for public trust, political participation and the health of our democracy?
In the wake of the 2026 midterm elections, the Institute for Data, Democracy and Politics (IDDP) will host a keynote by leading independent journalist Aaron Parnas, and a panel discussion featuring Michelle Cottle of the New York Times, Leticia Bode of Georgetown University, and Danny Hayes of George Washington University, moderated by Michael Tomasky of the New Republic.
Join us to explore how a changing media landscape is reshaping American politics and democracy. The discussion will be followed by a cocktail reception.
