About
On view at The Gallery at UTA, Transitions celebrates the enduring contributions of five recently retired faculty and professors emeriti to contemporary art, design, and visual culture. Featuring the work and scholarship of artists Bryan Florentin, Lisa M. Graham, Darryl Lauster, Andrew Ortiz, and art historian Beth S. Wright, this exhibition reflects the breadth of creative and intellectual inquiry cultivated at UTA and the ways these practices continue to evolve beyond the classroom and university. Transitions brings together distinct approaches to making and research, emphasizing the cultural questions that have shaped these faculty members’ careers while opening space for new questions about historical narratives, sociopolitical systems, material, and visual culture.
Gallery Hours: Monday-Friday 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., Saturday by appointment.
