About

Join NYURI for our weekly practice session!

As NYC’s only student organization dedicated to the art of Korean percussion, we are passionate about sharing this unique art form with the NYU community.

At this meeting, you will learn everything about the Janggu, the iconic Korean hourglass drum, from playing posture and striking techniques to the fundamental rhythms that drive Korean music.

Prior experience in music or Korean culture is not required as our members will be providing comprehensive instruction for all beginners.

All instruments are provided. All you need to do is walk in!

This week we will be meeting in Kimmel Room 604!
