About

The Biology Book Club is a collaborative effort between the Biological Science Department, the Library, and the Planetarium.

Fall 2026 Biology Book Club:

Book Name - Project Hail Mary by Andy Weir.

Book Description - You saw the movie, crushed on the lead, wanted the Legos, and realized your dream roommate is a talkative rock. Join us as we go to the original story to see how the journey began and how it changed as it traveled from page to screen. Or leap into the adventure from scratch. Discuss the biology of the astrophage, the physics of the spaceships, the decisions of our leaders, and the wonder of the universe. Explore what is doable, what is possible, and what you could endure.

Time - Selected Mondays from 12:30 - 1:30pm.
