Abstract: This is the second and last talk on this subject. In the first talk, the notion of operad as a monoidal object was defined. Operads of little cubes, little discs and framed discs were introduced. Also, it was explained that the collection of embedding spaces of finite unions of discs in a manifold forms a right module over the framed discs operad. In this talk, the main result of embedding calculus will be stated in terms of derived mapping space of right modules. I will then speak about the May-Boardman-Vogt delooping theorem. At the end, I will state the delooping theorem for the spaces of embeddings MxD^\ell --> NxD^\ell fixed on Mx\partal D^\ell in terms of the derived mapping space of operatic bimodules. The result is an easy consequence of a joint work of the speaker and J. Ducoulombier.
The talks serve as advertisement of the Topics in Topology class with tentative title "Functor calculus, operads and delooping" that is planned to be offered in Fall 2027.
