About
Have you every wanted to learn where the Catholic Church gets its deep understanding of who God is? What does it mean to study the faith, and why is Thomas Aquinas so renowned in doing so? And how can we learn from what he wrote even today?
Prof. Michael Dauphinais from Ave Maria University will address these questions and more in this lecture hosted by the Thomistic Institute as an introduction to Thomas Aquinas' Summa Theologiae. Michael A. Dauphinais, Ph.D., serves as the Fr. Matthew Lamb Professor of Catholic Theology and the co-director of the Aquinas Center for Theological Renewal at Ave Maria University. He specializes in C.S. Lewis, the Bible, and St. Thomas Aquinas. Dr. Dauphinais hosts The Catholic Theology Show podcast to help a wide audience discover the richness of coming to know and love God as he has revealed himself in Jesus Christ.
The lecture will take place Wednesday, November 11th in JPII Hall at the Catholic Student Center, 1210 Stanford Dr at 8:00 pm. Q&A discussion will be held afterwards.
Prof. Dauphinais will also be joining some members of the Thomistic Institute for a dinner seminar prior to the lecture. The topic of discussion will be "C.S. Lewis and the Catholic Imagination". We will be leaving from the Catholic Center at 6:00 pm. If you are interested in attending, please fill out this form: Seminar Dinner Interest.
