Montana Repertory Theatre is excited to present Lucas Hnath’s The Christians, running November 11-22, 2026. Starring Michael Rohd, Mason Wagner, Rosie Hallett, Anna Stone, and Kendra Mylnechuk Potter. Directed by Michael Legg. To bring this story to life, The Rep is partnering with six congregations to perform in their sanctuaries: University Congregational Church (UCC), Immanuel Lutheran, Our Savior’s Lutheran in Bonner, First United Methodist, St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, and First Christian.
Pastor Paul delivers a sermon that shakes the foundation of his church, pitting neighbor against neighbor. As he tries to hold his congregation, his faith, and his marriage together, he discovers how insurmountable the divides between us can be. Performed in churches in and around Missoula, this immersive play asks what do you believe and why do you believe it? And what happens when those foundational beliefs are called into question?
Thanks to the generosity of Northwestern Energy, tickets are Pick-What-You-Pay, with $25 suggested.
This production is made possible with the support of The Roy Cockrum Foundation.
