About
Join University Libraries for a virtual Lunch and Learn series exploring how AI is reshaping information practices, from creating better research guides to navigating questions of trust and verification.
November 12 | 12 – 1 p.m. Presented by Sara Gonzalez Registration
What happens when a photo or video is no longer proof that something happened? Generative AI can now produce images, audio, and video convincing enough to pass as real, and the tools for catching them are struggling to keep up. This Lunch and Learn session explores how AI is reshaping the way we verify what we see and hear, including deepfakes, synthetic media, and misinformation, and what new habits of verification might look like when the old ones no longer hold.
The link for the virtual session will be sent to all registrants.
