Academic & Study

About

This program partners with FIT's sister college in Tokyo, Bunka Gakuen University (Bunka), to immerse students in Japanese language and culture. The main campus is located in Shinjuku, in the center of Tokyo, and students stay in Bunka's Fuchu dorm, located in the suburbs of Tokyo.

From Monday to Friday, students study language in the mornings and in the afternoons, they visit different parts of Tokyo: Harajuku, Shibuya, Ginza or visit temples, shrines and museums. As cultural activities, the program may offer Kabuki viewing, tea ceremony, Kimono wearing and calligraphy.

Students experience living in Tokyo by commuting and living in a dorm where they meet Bunka students. Bunka supports this program by offering opportunities to meet Bunka students, who can show students what is happening in Tokyo.
