ABOUT THE CONFERENCE
Join us on Wednesday, November 18, 2026, to learn ways to reposition heirs’ property from being a family liability to a generational asset! Our FREE session will take place from 8 am - 5 pm. at Prairie View A&M University's Willie A. Tempton Memorial Student Center. We’re excited to share expertise so participants will leave with a better understanding of heirs’ property and how to protect it from being lost.
Heirs ' property is a significant cause of land loss. This is especially true in the Southeast United States where, for generations, families have lost inherited land. This conference addresses this concern by bringing together leading educators, attorneys, municipal practitioners, and other subject-matter experts in the field to help landowners gain an understanding so they can take action to protect their land. This conference will walk participants through an overview of heirs’ property, strategies for preventing its occurrence, and key considerations in resolving heirs’ property issues.
