About
50-minute Workshop
Presenters: Dr. Stephanie M. Strauss, Assistant Professor of Instruction, Art History, Department of Art
This Workshop will walk attendees through the process of developing a creative final project for their own courses, to complement or replace the traditional Short Research Paper, with the goal of Sowing Research and Harvesting Creativity. Participants will explore the model of the Experimental Art History Project designed for UTEP's Art History Survey 2 course (Renaissance to Contemporary Art). Attendees will then engage in a think-pair-share exercise on potential themes for their own courses. We will conclude the session by drafting project timelines and learning outcome maps for their Creative Project designs, with one-on-one feedback provided by the Workshop leader.
