The Rice Master of Bioengineering (MBE) is a non-thesis professional degree that prepares science and engineering graduates for careers in medical technology, industry and medicine. The MBE offers two concentrations: Applied Bioengineering and Global Medical Innovation.

Apply your science or engineering background where medicine and technology meet. Design medical devices that meet real clinical needs, advance to senior roles in the biomedical industry, launch a medtech venture or prepare for medical school.

Study across the street from the Texas Medical Center in a small, selective program where faculty and mentors know you.
