About
Shop Smart, Eat Well is a residential program designed to help students learn how to grocery shop on a budget while exploring affordable food options and campus resources. Residents will participate in an individual grocery list activity where they will create a grocery list for on week while staying within a set budget. This activity will encourage residents to compare prices, prioritize essential grocery items, and consider affordable food options that support a balanced diet. The program will also feature tabling from the Cougar Pantry, they will provide information about available resources, explain how students can access free groceries, and answer any questions residents may have. To create a welcoming and engaging environment, three pizzas from Domino’s, along with liters of Sprite and Coke, will be provided for residents to enjoy after completing the activity and stopping by the Cougar Pantry table.
