About
Join us on Friday, November 13th in MRB III, Room 1220 for a timely conversation on the recent advances in AI-assisted mathematics and what they mean for the future of scientific discovery. Following OpenAI’s recent announcements of major mathematical breakthroughs, Vanderbilt Mathematics Department Chair Dan Margalit will share his perspective on these developments, their implications for the scientific community, and why mathematicians may be more important than ever in the age of AI.
The talk will be followed by an informal meet & greet with the speaker, featuring coffee, pastries, and light refreshments. All disciplines are welcome, and no mathematics background is required.
