Bands @ Bond

About

Midwave radio is teaming up with the Major Activities Board (MAB) and WHPK to throw a wonderful concert at Bond Chapel with additional festivities on the Harper Quad, featuring professional bands such as The Courts, The Warrens, and UChicago’s own Sleazy Disco and Nothing But Socks. This is all in support of Solving Kids Cancer, a charity that funds clinical trials for novel child cancer treatments (all tickets to the concert will go to the charity, and people “purchase” tickets by directly donating to the charity). We plan to also involve other RSOs to table on the quad to run arts and crafts activities with the goal of raising additional money for Solving Kids Cancer and opening the event up to UChicago students who don’t attend the concert, such as Tight Knit who provided this statement: “Event attendees will engage with Tight Knit members through participating in a variety of felt based crafts such as learning how to hand-make fall-themed garland, keychains, and plushies.”
