About
This is the second workshop in a four-part Introduction to Python series. Python is a high-level, general-purpose programming language designed to be easy to read and write. In this workshop, you will learn:
• For loops and the accumulator pattern: Iterate over collections to clean records.
• Conditionals: Use if/elif/else logic to filter out missing data or select specific library item types.
• Batch processing: Use glob to loop through directories and open multiple dataset files.
No prior Python experience is required, though each workshop builds on the one before it. If you miss a session, you can catch up with the Library Carpentry lesson we're working from, Python Intro for Libraries.
