Stop Motion Animation Workshop - PART 1: Pre-Production

Join Cinefemmes, UNLV Animation Club, LAVA, and UNLV Filmmaking Club in recreating the "I'm Flying" scene from Titanic (1997) with handmade puppets!

For Part 1: Pre-Production, we will be creating the puppets and sets for the workshops, as well as the needed storyboards! We're going to need lots of creative individuals to help create the necessary pieces for this short film, and the event is open to ALL experience levels!!

Interested in stop motion? join us in learning to create a stop-motion animated short film!

Do you enjoy crafting? Help us cut and glue paper and other materials!

Love film and want to assist with our pre-production? Have a hand in the filmmaking process!

Thursday, November 12th from 5pm-8pm in the Student Union Room 219!! We will have some free snacks as we work on our stop motion short film!

For information on the following workshops:

Part 2: Production will be for filming the stop-motion movements! It will be on Tuesday, November 17th, only a few days after Part 1!!

Part 3, 4, and 5 will all be next semester (Spring 2027) and will include foley recording/voice acting, editing, and a special screening celebration! Additonally, we hope to submit and screen the short during UNLV CinArts's annual Spring Flicks!

You do not have to attend all workshops to participate. You will get credit for your role(s)!!
