About
Join the USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture to discuss how spirituality can help us reimagine the ways we engage the troubling realities of contemporary life.
We are celebrating the publication of Engaged Spirituality: Stories of Religious Resilience, Inspiration, and Pursuing the Common Good, edited by CRCC Affiliate Ken Chitwood. This collection of "good religion stories" advances vital conversations around some of the most critical issues of our time and inspires reader to action. You will find out how people from diverse backgrounds and faith traditions care for their communities, challenge unjust structures, and build a future where all can flourish.
The stories are drawn from the USC Center for Religion and Civic Culture's five-year project on spiritually engaged humanitarians.
With the publication of Engaged Spirituality, we also celebrate the launch of Bloomsbury Studies in Religion and Civic Culture. This Open Access book series investigates the nexus of religion and public life, focusing on the ways that religious organizations and spiritual movements adapt in response to the many challenges they face. Engaged Spirituality and future books in this series serve both scholars and the religious and community leaders who are interested in the wellbeing of public life.
Join us to hear more about the new book series, the role of storytelling and the importance religion in confronting the issues of our day.
