About
Join us at the North Dakota Museum of Art for a day of hands-on artmaking for children of all ages and their accompanying adults!
Inspired by the current exhibition featuring the work of Aaron Spangler, we will be exploring fun ways to use textures and patterns to create depth within an image. Guests will learn different printmaking techniques, try out engraved clay plaster casting and add to their artist sketchbooks!
These workshops began as a way for families in our community to engage with a wide variety of artistic practices often inspired by current exhibitions, local events or culture from around the world. This past year, we hosted over a thousand curious guests and welcomed numerous arts organizations and local artists to partner with us to foster a deeper appreciation of art and the importance it plays in our community.
One Saturday a month, from October to April, the museum welcomes guests into the galleries to create, design and construct. You’re welcome to drop in or stay the entire time. No registration is required, but it is encouraged to help the Museum with preparing for the event. To register, please visit the Eventbrite ticket link.
These workshops are free and open to the public thanks to our wonderful sponsors: ICON Architectural Group, Sanford Health, Cynthia and John Shabb, and Plains Chiropractic and Acupuncture, P.C.
