About

Join NJIT Green and Tau Beta Pi as we plant trees at Mildred Helms Park with the New Jersey Tree Foundation. Help reduce the Urban Heat Island Effect and improve Newark's climate resiliency with some hands-on tree planting! Planting supplies provided, please bring water, comfortable shoes, and snacks for yourself. We will take public transportation to the site and meet up at the Honors College beforehand.
