About

Volunteers travel to a Methodist Church in Hollywood, a neighborhood in College Park, and help elementary aged children from the community with various art projects. Hollywood is a neighborhood in College Park that is a majority immigrant community that has need for English language services, and Hollywood Elementary School is a title one school. It is an opportunity to serve the community and act as mentors for children. Although the volunteering takes place at a church it is not religious but is rather focused on art and forming connections with the kids. We meet at the UMD Memorial Chapel every Tuesday at 2 PM to carpool to the church. We are always in need of more volunteers!
