Being first doesn’t mean you have to do it alone!
In celebration of National First-Generation College Student Week, the Center for Student Success' Academic Engagement Team, in collaboration with TRIO Student Support Services/ TRIO STEM and First Gen Forward, invites you to First & Fearless!
This interactive celebration honors the courage, resilience, identity, and accomplishments of UNCP’s first-generation Braves. Students will have the opportunity to share their stories on the “First in My Family, Not the Last” Legacy Wall, challenge common college misconceptions through First-Gen Truth or Myth, and connect with campus resources and a community committed to their success.
Whether you’re the first in your family to attend college or simply want to celebrate and support our first-generation community, stop by and join us as we recognize what it means to be FIRST, FEARLESS, and BRAVE!
