About
Please join us for the third Zoom of our series, dedicated to the interwar emigre poetry of Prague, where a fascinating group of Ukrainian poets and political activists camped out during the late 1920s and 1930s, featuring Amelia Glaser and Ainsley Morse, UCSD colleagues and translators of Vasyl Khmeliuk, Olena Teliha, Yevhen Malaniuk, and Natalia Livytska-Kholodna, who will read from their work and discuss the innovative poetics of the Prague scene. Convening the discussion will be Ostap Kin, co-editor of A Ukrainian Century: Poems, 1900–1999, an anthology forthcoming in Fall 2027 from World Poetry Books.
Co-sponsored by the Department of Slavic Languages and Literatures at Stanford University and the Institute of Arts and Humanities, Russian, East European, and Eurasian Studies at UC San Diego.
