About
Join the Walker Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnic Relations for a four-part interrogative Lunch and Learn series with Dr. J. Cody Nielsen. The series traces how racism developed alongside religion, from the Roman Empire and medieval Europe to colonialism and the American present, and asks how we can respond today.
All sessions are at noon:
• Nov. 12: The first forms of race relations
• Nov. 19: How white Christianity became hegemonic, privileged, and supremacist
• Dec. 3: Racism, religion, and American culture
• Dec. 10: White Christian nationalism, supremacy, and the battle for an anti-racist future
