About

In this fast-paced drama, a Paris food delivery cyclist and asylum seeker named Souleymane has two days to prepare his story for a make-or-break interview to secure legal residency. Abou Sangaré received the best actor award at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival for his first-ever acting role as Souleymane. Sandra Pesoli, a lecturer in NC State’s Department of World Languages and Cultures, will introduce the film.

The film, which is not rated, is in French, Fulah and Malinka and has English subtitles. The runtime is 1 hour, 33 minutes.

The film screening is part of the Global Film Series, a partnership between the NC State University Libraries and the NC State Office of Global Engagement.
