About

This event aims to inform attendees about the importance of voting in odd years, to connect Revolt members with LGBTQ Community leaders in the DMV, and create a space for discussion and advocacy on queer, Black, and feminist issues. We will present the. Important wins and losses from Election Day and what they may or may not mean for queer, black and femme people. Student moderators will then lead a panel discussion with community leaders. Everyone on the panel will collectively share answers to a few questions (specific questions to be written after midterms, but the general layout of the discussion goes as follows):

• Their general reaction to midterm results

• Their analysis of specific races, resolutions, and rulings, and what it means for Black Queer and Femme people

• What keeps them hopeful

• What we as an organization or individuals can do
