About
Be Prepared. Be Aware. Be Part of the Solution.
Recognizing the early warning signs of potential threats can make all the difference in preventing escalations. This impactful workshop is designed to strengthen your ability to identify, assess and respond with confidence.
This workshop equips participants with the knowledge to identify early warning signs and behaviors before situations escalate, while deepening their understanding of where individuals may fall along the pathway to violence.
Through expert guidance, participants learn how to apply evidence-based risk assessment practices and gain practical strategies for managing concerns in real-world settings. The workshop emphasizes actionable intervention techniques designed to interrupt and mitigate potential threats — helping create safer environments.
Hear from Tesney Davis, supervisor and administrator of mental health and social services for Tuscaloosa City Schools, and Lt. Craig Parker of the Tuscaloosa Police Department. Together, they offer a powerful blend of mental health expertise and law enforcement perspective, providing real-world insight and collaborative strategies that can be put into practice immediately.
